I just found this lp on his own private label called Awake (Awake Mono 777). It has a black and white photo of him looking quite emotional and brown lettering with the albums title and his name. From what I read on in the linernotes he comes from North Carolina. No other musicians are credited so it might be him singing and playing the piano all alone. And he also claims to be "one of americas greatest soul singers" on the cover. Im not sure its any good though...Anyway anybody know this? (cant find it on google either except for a 45 of his with the title track)Thanks in advance,DressP.S. I dont have a recordplayer right now.

i found a copy of this in NC last trip down through there.
i actually dig this record.... maybe not America's Greatest but i think it's a nice mid to late 60's soul LP...

not real well known. a friend had it in his shop and mentioned having sold it for $40 or $50. have since seen another copy hanging in a shop for $50 i think.

regardless... hold on to it and give it a spin.

  • Thanks for the answer. I look forward to actually hearing it.
