I love the 80s even though ppl like to front on the shit like they weren't buggin out to it at the time. Seriously, it's not often that ppl at a party not enjoying themselves to 80s music. If they ain't then the must not party.

I think "Invisible Touch" is the group's undisputed masterpiece.

Take the lyrics to "Land of Confusion." In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problem of abusive political authority.
"In Too Deep" is the most moving pop song of the 1980s about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock.

Crink, you need more whimsy in your life. More dogs with sunglasses, less hatteration. I used to hate on 80s tunes, music of my youth. Although the synths sometimes sound insanely cheesy, you need to listen for the rich depth of music that is there, underneath some questionable instrument choices. Like Stepping Out for instance. Questionable instrument choices, but still a good song.

Truer words have never been spoken. The 1980s were definitely on some next-level shit, and I'm not even sure if they have really made it where they were trying to go.
More on the cock-rocker tip, but "Two Tickets to Paradise" ... songs just don't have those types of themes anymore. It's sad, really.
