I had to see what the hype was about this "black sabbath wears birkenstocks" group last night in my city from their previous mention in the new rock thread. I listened to their myspace songs enough to get a notion that these granola eatin' fools do space out with fuzz and moogs.They did not fill the venue with any hipsters nor hippies. Yet the dudes from VHS or Beta graced their presence with thier local notoriety. They sounded great, yet stealing their sound from Frank Anthony "Tony" Iommi of Black Sabbath on guitar was their key of capturing the crowd. Extended Spaced Out Black Sabbath with female vocals with a nice addition of two MOOGs and other synthesizers. It wasn't shoegazing by no means. If you love the crunchy sound of old Sabbath, check them out.
