...to them. Im gonna get the gas face on this but I am gonna nominate Nolan Porter "If I could Only be Sure"...damn what a guitar riff, but the song is kinda , even though UK bidding practices contradict my statement.

    "Lonely Boy" - Paul Anka

    its this trifling teen-idol pop song from the fifties, but its got this distorted guitar straight out of a link wray 45! matter of fact, that guitar saves it!

    anka later recut it when he switched to RCA, but it had this passive strummed acoustic that reminds us how wimpy this song really is

    and "Donna" by Ritchie Valens...i like Ritchie, never cared for the song, but theres some bluesy guitar fills running through this whole thing

    the opening riff of the 4 Tops "keeper of the castle" is so tuff and i always thought the "lemme down..." opening melody was indeed, a letdown...
