Combo of last Friday's record meet, fleamkt, mailbox.

    AEIOU2 Angeles Negros related

Delay told me to buy this. I agreed.

    paging Marcofunk

The Hookup mentioned this recently and reminded me it was on my mental wantlist after hearing it at a Friday drunken throwdown a few months back.

Also, one seller accidentally sent me 3 45s I didn't buy. Sadly they were some sort of bluegrass rockabilly shite so I contacted him to inform him of his mistake. Karma in the bank. If they were good I would have kept them, so it was a win-win!

The 12" is High & Mighty's B-Boy document on Eastern Conference.
The middle right one is called 'Latin Drum' on JCV.
I like most of em, esp. the Hein Huysmans lp imho.
I was hoping the Joe Cuba was more latin-funk oriented, but alas.

  • That Hein Huysmans is great! May I ask where you find it (online or field)?

  • Some of the finer thangs from the last couple weeks' work.

    And some nice flickery

Um No! Okay maybe, but that's it for me as far as Galleta records, although didn't you say there was an EP?

Got another Board Of Directors 12".

Damn! It's raining Board of Directors 12"s in NZ!

Only one record of note this weekend, and it's a double that's up for trade:

  • Delay told me to buy this. I agreed.

He was right - best use of "apache" north of London as far as i know.

finds down my way (now in fullcolor Kalavision)

Congos is a clean JA press on Congo Ashanty

Bobby Bobylon an early Studio One.

Bongos Ikwue is allright w/ the title track being the highlight.

Jazz Afrika is beautiful deep fusion-y stuff and a double.
