Well, I guess I found my Xmas present Does anyone know how much it will cost to upgrade from 6 to 7? Regardless, I'm still going to buy this. I love version 6 too much not to buy the upgrade. Hopefully, Ableton put more thought into Sampler. It's not bad for it being it's first run but I really hope they worked on improving it (Sampler).
If there was ever a software MPC-killer... this is it.
Exactly. Oh man, I'm keeping my MPC 60 for the sound and MIDI, but this is so amazingly helpful...you'll understand if you've ever tried to use an MPC with a software sampler and software DAW all at the same time. The way you can mix and effect drum tracks is so clean as well.

Based on past experiences, a major improvement like that (much alike from 5 to 6 with video support, instrument rack etc) should be about $200 to $250...
EDIT: If you log in to your Ableton Live account page, you can click into the product page. Depending on how many add on plugins you want to bundle into your upgrade, prices ranges from: $119 (just Live 7 download, no drum machine, no new Live Instruments) to $159 (Live 7 boxed version) $299 (Upgrade to Live 7 (Box) + Session Drums + Drum Machines) $439 (boxed) or $339 (download) version with: Live 6 to Live 7 Upgrade (Box) Session Drums Operator Sampler Analog Tension Electric Drum Machines)
The drum rack is amazing enough...but now that Live 7 supports time signature is totally next level. Can't wait!
