yeah, really dope! I wonder how this record came together, as the band were some art people from cologne. Someone told me they are still around. Crazy combination. There is another USGerman collabo from the same time with Fab 5 Freddy and the "Toten Hosen", but this one is muuuuch better...
I got another copy of this amazing, albeit poorly recorded, record. I've seen this only twice and bought it both times - what is the story? Any info would be appreciated...especially about the label - Emus.
The Sophia LP is by Laurel Atkin. It was recorded in the UK and produced by Atkin. The label is Count Shelly. This is a totally unique LP (I will post clips soon). Kind of lo-fi reggae blues LP for lack of a better description. A new favorite.
After I had bought it I discovered that the Banana Splits LP (long time want) also contained both pic sleeve singles inside. No wonder it was heavy! The Mars Everywhere LP is a cool space-rock LP outta DC. The best track was recorded live at DC Space back in 1979
i found my favorite taco truck. yeah, itd been posted up at this old dig spot and that spot moved. so i went to the new one and nothing.
but today, there it was, the red el korita taco truck. this is prolly the best kept secret of the east san gabriel valley. hand made tortillas and fish tacos. they even rock the huaraches and gorditas! this was better than any record i found today.
picked these up a couple days ago, the record player lites up and flashes, also grabbed about 60 records from the goodwill today, nothing rare but alot of nice shit like roy ayers, old temptations, gene chandler, jimmy smith, jimmy mcgriff, les mccann, shit like that, alot of jazz mixed and some soul
