living on the L? (nrr) (but brooklyn related)

movin to bk in a month, lookin at a place in williamsburg. only train access is to the L (conveniently). shouldn't be a problem on the job tip (I'll prolly be workin at nyu), but I hear it shuts down alot.is this gonna ruin my life?

    I was just there, and the shutting down of the L did ruin my life once or twice... but I was told this was a very temporary thing due to some work being done on the tunnels?

    my experience with L train shutdowns has only been intermittent service real late at night (and generally nonexistent service on the weekends)

    how far are you from the marcy ave JMZ? that runs pretty regularly.
