How do you back up your goods? (ware related)

Just got a 500 gig WD MyBook external and i wanna do this right from the start. im in mac world and have seen tons of backup software out there. ive used silverkeeper, but it started to bug out on me, so i wanna move away from it. retrospect is dope, but i like being able to navigate through my back up drive, rather than through some program.any suggestions?thanks in advance,arjun

    GET another 500gig drive and save everything twice?

    i mean, is there any other way to physically back up a hard drive so you dont lose stuff??

    no i get the triple copy method. i guess im more asking about what software people use to easy the process.
