    A couple weeks back, I rewatched all of Seasons 1 & 2, and will cosine this appreciation.

    Their show meant a lot to me; it was Monty Python to American late teens/early 20s, rather than Brits. Their use of language is astounding, light years ahead of all other sketch comedy of the last 20 years (yes, Kids in the Hall), and their social commentary holds up remarkably well 10 years after it first aired.

    In the words of the Coupon: The Movie testimonial...I SAW THE SHIT OUT OF IT!

    When this was first being aired, I would be in
    tears while watching. The DVD's hold up, still funny.
    In fact, I think it's the only TV series that I own on DVD.

    Definately one of the greatest/the greatest American sketch shows of all time and the seguing is the the best seguing of any sketch show ever.

    yeah you make a good point, Monty Python is the traditional king of seguing

    but I feel Mr show takes a slighty different approach to the whole seguing concept and is generally more consistent. Mind you I haven't sat down and watched MP for quite some time. I should really get that box set.

    Mr. Show is probably my only like litumus test show. If you can't laugh at Mr. Show I probably wont like hanging around you.

    In addition to the segues, all of the stuff where the audience was worked into the show or in the shots was always a cool thing for me too.
