There have been a few parties and nights in this space before, but until now, it's been a relatively unknown space.This place has the potential to be an oasis for Soul fans. There will be NO other nights playing other stuff like House, Drum???n???Bass etc. So the crowd you???ll get will be either Soul/Funk heads or open-minded dudes: quality ingredients for a good-vibe venue.The space features a nice, springy wooden floor and a low, low ceiling. The basement is housed in a re-enforced concrete shell. Basically, records sound great played down there!To start with, there will be ten separate music nights programmed across the month, from Wednesdays through to Saturdays. Weekend nights go late, but please note there can be no entry after midnight. The launch party[/b] is scheduled for Saturday July 09[/b]. Everyone involved in the various nights will be on hand to spin their stuff in an organic fashion: no 'scene politics' will dictate order of play on the night. The party also effectively acts as a sampler what the One-Stop Soul Basement will have to offer.Plenty of drinks promotions too.
