I just found this today in a pile of broken dreams in a boiler room of a thrift shop. Im really feeling this. Oxford Gray is the hot shit. Not on par with Inspiration Information, more on a bluesey tip, but still a pretty dope album. Shuggie Otis is that dude.

This record was getting trashed on here recently.
I like it, reminds me of Jimi's straight-blues recordings.

That said, I don't pull it out and play it very often.

SOMEONE SELL ME THE PRESTON LOVE JOINT

Yeah it does remind me of those jimi tracks. Like when he was doing his early session/stage work.

The more i listen to it, i can only really get down with like 4 tracks out the whole album. But those 4 tracks make getting this record for $1.00 well worth it. Not Shuggies greatest work, but still has clout.

Not trying to blow up any spots....but I just heard a few unreleased Shuggie tracks a few weeks back, AMAZING shit - from 76-92 or so. I didn't hear any of the newer stuff, but did hear a disco track that was

Long story short....I got in touch with Shuggie and that shit may be available in a record store sooner than you think....

No sir. I can't say I'm a fan of the whole album, but Jenny Lee is the shit.

One of my favourite Shuggie Otis songs right there.
