iPod help? maybe?

alright, i got that new small ipod shuffle a couple months ago and have only been able to sync it once, now every time i plug it into my computer the CPU usage goes straight to 100%, and itunes says i need to restore the ipod but everytime i try to do this, it says its "restoring" for a reeeeally long time and i just lose patience.has anybody else experienced this? when i look at my system processes, the iPodService.exe is the one using all the CPU...maybe i need to redownload that file or something? im sure its something to do with my computer because i "restore"d it on other computers and it took maybe 20 seconds at the most, then worked fine, but computer always says its corrupted and it wont even recognize the ipod half the timeits just frustrating because i went into all this thinking id never use it because i wouldnt have a reason to, not because i couldnt!

i read somewhere that apple put up a new ishuffle restore/update because alot of people had this problem. make sure your software is up to date.
