That's a great recommendation. The follow-up's good, too:
Actually, I don't see any other No Limit in this thread.
DON'T SLEEP!
Mystikal (also his first album, distributed by Jive)
TRU

Master P (Ice Cream Man and Ghetto D)
Silkk's Charge It 2 the Game...
Word up.
Also, personal favorite
Uff you, pay me.
And ya gotta have Big Mike's Playa Playa to go along with Big Mello's Sucka Free.
GANGSTA GRIZZILLZ!
and DJ Smallz Southern Smoke
and WHAT IT DEW RAPID RIC WORD TO ARCHAIC
A lot of those are really not what I would call essential.
yeah really. Gangsta Grizills is much better. Dj drama has been around forever too.
Before he started doing Gangsta Grillz, when I still lived down there, I used to always see him around. I don't know if I ever really heard him DJ back then, but I always assumed he was more on the headwraps-n-incense tip, since he used to always wear a knit crown and dress in earthtones (the type of dude that would have Young Phonics talking about "I like your style (PASUE!)".
Yo, Cosmo, if you're still in this thread--do you know that dude? Because I know he's originally from Philly.
And as for the "inscence/headwrap" shit, you got to understand that no matter what, those are just elements of the Philly "way." Trust me when I tell you that Dram is a thorough DJ from Philly, so that means he can pretty much play anything and rock it. Check some of his older "Automatic Relaxation" CD joints which are full on the neo-soul/groovy vibe.
I dj'd a Bahamadiah show and he was her deejay. How old is that dude? He seems mad young.
Yeah, I'm not trying to clown at all--he is by far my favorite mixtape dude currently doing it.
I was just a little surprised when he emerged as the South's dirtiest mixtape DJ, because I'd always assumed he was on some different sh!t.
You definitely should be proud, though; a lot of his tapes are better than the official releases by the same artists.
