Sarah Webster Fabio/Folkways question

I received a message from someone claiming to be Fabio's granddaughter, wondering who had the rights to sell Sarah's music. Presumably, the family was never contacted. I'm not sure how Folkways licensing worked - who owned what? Figured someone here would know.

    I would contact Canonical, who is on here but
    a mod over at Waxidermy so you could definitely
    get to him there - I know he has some connections
    to the modern-day Folkways operation.

    Mo Asch had his own publishing I think. He did things quick and dirty and I would guess that the artist got paid once and the performance became Asch's property.

    Anywho, Smithsonian owns Folkways now and there is a curator that can answer her questions.
