Ok, planning a trip with the lady. Anyone up on the latest secret ticket booking site? Whats good besides orbitz and travelocity? Im going to Italy, and the tickets went up 100 bucks since a month ago, should I snatch em now, or is there a chance they could go back down? Someone school me...

    sidestep.com is pretty helpful. I've found some good deals at kayak.com as well.

    Also, whenever I use a travel search like orbitz, I make sure to check the website of the airline that shows up as having the lowest fare. Often you can get an even better rate by booking through the airline directly, because the booking fee is lower. This doesn't always work, but I've saved a fair amount of money doing that in the past.

    I'm sure the tip about booking through an agent after 10pm, specifically when it's 10pm at their HQ, is well known.
