PDX people: how are jobs and housing? (move-R)

I had always hoped to move to Seattle, and perhaps in the future it may be a possibility. However, I've been tempted to move down to the Portland/Vancouver, WA area and it may be coming a bit sooner than expected.The biggest issue will be moving my entire record and CD collection 200 miles, which isn't as much as moving it cross-country, or across the Pacific and/or Atlantic, but it's still a move.Maybe someone can send me a PM rather than clutter the boards, but since we have a lot of PDX people here, I ask for your help. I want to know how the job market is, as I would prefer to move with something to look forward to rather than to move and look later (no brainer there). Plus, anything else.The move will involve only me and my material items.
