I appreciate. "Tell Him" and "Workin' On A Groovy Thing" are nice.

her covers of "Hard to Handle" "Show Me" and "Knock On Wood" are heat...I particularlly like "Keep On Moving", real spooky downtempo head nodder of a tune

i just picked up my first 45 of hers on capitol last week - he's the one/which one should i choose - played it out last night and plan to play it out again. got that nice, breezy crossover/proto-modern feel to it, esp "he's the one," which i believe was written by smokey robinson.

I like her version of the Grass Roots song
"Midnight Confessions" - it can be found on
the same album as her "Hard to Handle" cover,
I think it's called "Working On a Groovy Thing"

You should keep an eye out for the original "Tell Him" by the Drew-Vels, which was Patti's group before going solo. It's got this cha-cha beat like you always heard on a lot of Chicago records from the early sixties. I believe this was on Capitol as well.

Who did the male doo wop backing on her solo stuff? Great intro on "Groovy thing"

I've Been Here All The Time is one of her better LPs. Very good cover of Hard To Handle that's already been mentioned.

Wild Is Love isn't as good, but has a couple good tracks on it.

That's the one I meant, with the Grass Roots cover.

Don't know where I pulled "Working on a Groovy Thing" from
