Need some more info on the 99 records pool

Hey. I was looking for some more info on the legendary 99 records pool. I have info from searching online already. I am working on getting a collection from a DJ who was part of the pool. He was part of it from 74-82 or 83. I am very amped about this, but want some more info to make him feel more comfortable and all. I am also working on getting his 1975 Bozac mixer and OG 1200's Any help would be great..Mel
