I like the occasional wine thread on SS.Right now, I'm all about Sauvingnon Blanc, chilled down almost to refrigerator temperature, for summertime sippin. Most are as cheap as they are refreshing. Domestically, I like the ones from Grgich Hills and Mauritson. What's good from New Zealand?Speak on Viognier, Chenin Blanc, rose, or anything else you've been having.

Gotta be that NZ-Only "Marlborough" Sauv B. Pure nectar - don't sleep.

This is the finest I've had:

Encounter the passion fruit or your(sic) soft.

Concha Y Toro Casillero del Diablo from Chile is a good choice for US$7 a bottle. I used to head straight for Marlborough too, now my first look is to anything from Chile. Best wine for summer in my opinion, especially if you eat a lot of fish.

I had another one last weekend which was from Sonoma, but I can't remember what it was called. I'll find out this weekend and post it if this thread is still live.
