Turntable Question- my 1200 has a ground loop hum

the ground wire is still attachedbut i am getting a nasty hum[no dynamo]i have never taken one of these apart beforeI know it's a minor tweek[i hope!!]before i bring it to the shop .....ya'll got any sage advice on this?thanks

    take the cartridge off and blow hard down the tonearm(no homo).

    make sure the ground connection is decent, and that there is a u-clip on the end of your ground wire (wrapping frayed wires around the ground post on your mixer sucks).
    check tonearm cleanlieness, cartridge connections (none should be touching each other) before taking it apart. If you can't figure it out, it's either the tonearm pc-board or the ground wire solder point. If you don't feel comfortable taking that stuff apart, shop is probably your best option.
