    This was on an lp. I think it was New Directions the last before the first Neville Bros record on Capitol. I doubt this is a remix, might not even be extended. This song might signify the Meters nadir.

    It might not be heat, but the version of the song on that 12" probably sounds better than any version on an LP or CD.

    Actually, it's from "Trick Bag" (itself a pretty bad album but
    with some moments) and is a "disco mix" that is over 2 minutes
    longer than the LP version - although it's likely more of a
    copy-n-paste edit than any kind of "remix." - still, not a bad
    thing to have for a disco night ...

    "Be My Lady" from New Directions is actually a pretty dope soul tune! I slept on it for years because people always talk down on the record. Glad I found a 45 of it.
