iMic - recording vinyl into my mac

is this the way to go ?my Phillips cd recorder just died,& $300 for a sony does not sound rightmostly for soundclips/mp3s to upload on my site(ebay related)$35 imac & cables = the answer ??thanks !

    If your computer doesn't have a line-in, it sounds fine. Use it with Audacity w/the LAME mp3 encoder.
