    you mean at this particular show right? cause this would not be an accurate way of describing his work overall.

    I will ride for Eddie all day every day. His music puts an unflinching smile on my face. His version of Hawkins' "Body and Soul." His version of "Moody's Mood." Recently I've been listening to his first recording session, made in Pittsburgh with Walt Harper's Quintet in like 1952. The version of "Honeysuckle Rose" is a source of profound joy!!!
