brooklyn roller disco closes!

man i just moved to crown heights, brooklyn, a few blocks from the empire roller rink, now it just closed and i didn't get to check it out! i did go by there this week as they were selling off their equipment, the records were long gone. here's a cool npr spot on it:http://weekendamerica.publicradio.org/programs/2007/04/21/a_final_skate_at_the.html

    i think dj misbehavior plays the central park roller disco, she's dope.

    my friend went during the last week of empire and he filmed some of it on his little blackberry and it looked so wicked, like a total time warp. like brooklyn really needs another storage facility!?
