eBay sellers and the like...what do you usually charge for packaging and shipping for a single LP, both for domestic USA and int'l to UK? Thanks!

$3 media? You can cover your packaging and shipping on that alone? Wow.

I can only because I have around 60 record mailers lying around.

I try to push people to use Priority, and offer it as cheap as possible
to force the issue. That way none of the week-later "where's my record"
of media mail. Some people really want to save $2 though, so I'll offer
it as an option if they really want it. Rates are going up, but I think the
highest Priority cost zone-zone domestic right now is still under $7 for 1
record, so you can charge that and never lose money, but it feels shitty if
you mail Priority to someone relatively close and charge them $7 for $4.50
    postage on the package.

yeah, if you buy bulk.. mailers + inserts shouldn't run over a dollar.. media to most US addys is only 1.84..

I'm a $3 / $6 guy in the US and haven't failed to get my little cut to cover packaging yet. Agreed on the obvious point of buying in bulk. I love bagsunlimited because they get stuff to you ridiculously quick and its good product. I find it's pretty easy to recoup that money without blowing up your shipping prices.

As for international, i usually go to USPS.com and do the 'Calculate International Shipping' option, plug in 1 lb package and pick my destination. I usually give them a two price quote that consists of Airmail and Global Priority.

We'll see what happens in May though. I don't have much grasp on how much prices are rising....anyone?

Holy shit. I think i will be switching to brasspack pronto.

The 1-4 variable for 33's vs. the 1-6 variable at bags is a pretty crazy number.

Thanks for the heads up guys.
