I've sold two nice copies of this for well under $50 on eBay in the past 3 years. Where were you then? haha!

    Seriously though, this record sucks.

this is one of a couple albums I kick myself for passing up (for cheap) in the early days of my digging career (over ten years ago)...

I actually listened to it and put it back on the shelf. My taste is impeccable, therefore It cannot be that good.

To answer your question, yes you will find it. Thankfully, it's place as a record you lust for will be retired and taken by another record (hopefully one more worthy) and the infinite cycle of wanting and finding records will be unbroken for evermore.

  • i think i have it. i need to look. if i do i'll send it to you for cheap.

This is a question I have been asking myself. It appears to be something I might want, but is it really?

Plaese to infiltrate my private mind garden and tell me if I want this or not.

My brother had Comin' At Ya years ago and I only listened to Runaway.
Didn't even bother to listen to the rest of the album.
If you like the Runaway break, cop it for the cheap.

    damn, why the hate?
i like that record a lot...i like the Coke record too (not soundtriangle...the self titled escovedo joint) thats some classic shit in my opinion.

real common here in philly. i could get yo uone, but it would probably be more satisfying for you to keep looking for it til you find it, soul in the horn style.

but calling that record doo doo on a stick is kinda

oh man...i just found a copy at a thrift in philly and flipped in a couple of weeks ago on ebay.

i like that record actually--but i am under the suspicion that i'll find another copy someday. patience is a virtue.

breaks vs. an overall feel-good song? son dont risk it.

  • Actually, "wouldn't change a thing" is the classic break track, UBB confused that by dropping the "runaway" in there before the drums. So yeah, I like "runaway" for it's song value (non loop related), mister. The way the vocals intensify before the chorus is sick.

I really dig both tunes though.

I would like it better if it were played by an orchestra of albino monkeys.

    that somewhere along the way
    if I'd changed my coat
    you wouldn't be here today
ohhh I take my ups and downs

and that makes it all worthwhile

if I had to live my life all over
    ohhhh baby yeah yeah
