So nobody was there? None of you bought any records or took pictures? It was not well attended on Friday and Sunday. I haven't been there on Saturday.

i think the Danish records were well represented at the arc. But the dealers from Denmark are Martians. One of the Danish guys wanted sth like 1500 Euros for a Sabu Martinez - Afro Temple LP, but sold Horselmat for 500 last year. Really strange.
There were many good records, but I wasn't too happy with the prices. A bit crazy... 300 Euros for a record with skips!?
I didn't see Scope. I was in Amsterdam on Saturday and he didn't show up there at the Cafe Gollem. FejMelba was there. He's cool! We had a good time. Drinking Belgian beer, chatting about Soulstrut matters, talking about records, etc
All dealers are Martians!

Props to Fejmelba for trying to get my shit sorted,
next time fellas.
was it the radio jazz group or something like that? i can't remember... but they were trying to sell MANY records for 500 - 1000 Euros...
for a few K's ?
if we plan that shit for november we could do a clubnight in Amsterdam for the soulstrutheadz. (Alan we talk some shop).
pce to jan for going to the gollem.
i didnt went to the arc. just spend 1200 eurie on a floor (sorry guys but that danish heat just have to wait).
mazzel Fejmelba
Hope to catch you guys next time.
here some impressions from the fair, that due to a japanese wholesale-buyer was the worst in 11 years (and it was his 21 time there)... I found it not sooooo bad, I just loved to go to them swedish and french cats and flip thru their stuff and find some obscure.
It was a pleasure to meet Tim aka coffinjoe real life, very cool, friendly guy!! Props for making the way!! See you hopefully during the Disco Diamant US trip!!!
Fishmongerfunk was there (whatch the pic below maaaan!!!) browsing thru the same polish heat-crates than me and defcon :-)
I did not see another strutter on that saturday, but heard that Grope hitted the fair already on friday for early bird shizzel... Did you find het, though?
Here some pics, due to heavy diggin I wasn't able to take more shots

I could see it. This record is IMO. The music is filthy, and it's a private press to boot. I'm not sure I would come off a few k for it, but I can understand why it could hit that level.
I hope you copped that Open Sky Unit post-haste of your picture taking.
It was way over my budget!! like 199 or so, cant remember really what the tag said!
But the dude had nice stuff though!

I'm pretty sure I know the Martians in question (as do Upskiboo and Dress).
Is this the record you're talking about?:
I've never heard the Fleur De Lis record
I never heard the Fleur de Lis lp either.
Peace,

Suddenly I'm tempted to sell it.
I can fire you guys some mp3's later if you're interested as I ripped the vinyl and put it in my mp3 thing to listen to. I have the Amber Soundroom press. I own a few Pokara 5 & 6 star OG's, but this is one I figured I'd never source (at least at a cost/trade I could live with) so I grabbed the RI when I saw it. Let me know about the mp3's or I'll save myself the effort.
i would have bought other records, but i was already broke on friday afternoon. i couldn't spend that much money this time. i scored all of the records above for cheap.
i'll save my money and buy some of the big stuff in november.
a german dealer had all the german prog i could ever ask for. i'll definietly buy from him next time. he's epensive, but his records are in such a great condition. maybe i can get a nice discount.
yo fire away, moss.
i wanna hear that. shit looks crazy.
and you gotta send me an mp3 of that "ann and jaime" track. that one track on there is pure heat.
looks nice! I think you was in a simular situation than me speaking of budget...
But what are these records are about, what do they sound like?
- Science Fiction Dance Party (I look for it since Sticky Doojah told me...)
- Travel Guide
- Ich Bin Ich
Hey, lemme know, if possible spuill some soundfiles here!!
Thanks man,
Jens
Mp3s would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Dress
make sure that you interview me for your next break beat digging documentary
i brought my records and sound burger on sunday. i thought i'd meet you.
FejMelba (on the right) and friend. I was feeling dizzy and couldn't hold my camera still. Belgian beer and Dutch cigarettes.
I had a low budget dig (max 10 euros!) in Plaatboef instead and found Fausto Papatti 15 (footprints on the moon) for 1 euro so that was some consolation...
I finally got my hands on some cash for Saturday & Sunday so here's the obligatory "finds on hotel bed" pics...
