Will the dude be able to lay low for his 5 year probation? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6547527.stm Snoop Dogg avoids jail sentence Snoop Dogg has avoided a jail sentence after pleading no contest to gun and drug charges in a Californian court. The 35-year-old rapper, whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr, was given five years probation and 800 hours of community service. Superior Court Judge Terry Smerling also ruled that the star must not have any gang members in his entourage. The musician was arrested in October and charged after he was found in possession of a gun and drugs. Youth team Defence lawyer Donald Etra said Broadus was grateful for the sentence. "He recognises the severity of this," he said. "He recognises he got a great deal and he fully intends to make sure nothing prohibits him from keeping his part of the bargain." Broadus was also told that only half of his community service could be with the youth American football league he runs. The charges date from an incident where police discovered marijuana in the rapper's car while confronting him over a parking violation at Burbank's Bob Hope airport. Police baton The gun charge was added after the weapon was discovered at the rapper's home by police, authorities said. Broadus was convicted of felony drug charges in 1990, making it illegal for him to own a firearm. Prosecutors said before the hearing that he could have been imprisoned for up to four years. The rapper has separate outstanding cases in other parts of California. He pleaded not guilty to possession of a deadly weapon in January after an outlawed collapsible police baton was found in his luggage as he attempted to catch a flight to San Francisco in September last year. He was also arrested in Los Angeles on November for weapon and drugs possession offences. Last month Broadus was arrested in Sweden for suspected drug use.

I never knew that...
Not D'mon. D-Mon.
Cordozar, shit is like an 18th century pirate name
Perhaps he will turn to the internet's most popular source of information on beating those tests: SoulStrut!
Keep an eye out for new posters.
this kind of shit actually makes me want to go all NRA
although i guess it depends on what the 'felony drug charges' were
"Let me get this nizzle on the phone"
"*cough cough* yeah man"
"Yo my nizzle its Snoop"
"*cough* What? Oh, Snoop, whats up man?!"
"Pshh, I had to plead no contest dog. They want me to piss in tube for five years!"
"Fucking harsh man! There's ways to get around that though man"
"No doubt, that's why I'm callin you my nizzle. I need some advice, I know you dealt with this before and I need to pass fo'shizzle!"
"You ever heard of soulstrut.com man? They got pages and pages of solutions, man.
"Oh word?! I'mma peep that shit, maybe start a thread about it. Good lookin' out chongdizzle. One."
For real, though: "How do I beat a drug test?" is one of the most popular recurring topics around here... right up there with "I just realized that I'm going bald/no longer like rap!"
not sure if he'll have to test or not. i can only assume so if he's on probation... but i do remember there was a time period a few years back where snoop had actually quit smokin the budz for a while (i believe due to legal issues or sumthin) and he even dropped those lines on "in this life" by gangstarr [from the ownerz] that said something about not having a spliff in a while and feeling great or some shit like that...
Ones named "Cordozar," perhaps?
I don't think anyone knew that. That's on some Frances Gumm or Charles Buchinski shit.
