Seriously. If your drums are not banging (or at least loud), is it stil hip hop?I say fuck no. If your drums are weak then its R&B, or aggro lounge.

    A lot of the time on there he uses no extra drums at all... great album...
    I agree though, i hate bad drums, it's something nearly all those soundclick guys get wrong, and 90% of myspace people do too... Either too thin or too static...

    a good portion of the wu's joints have softish drums. you can have soft drums and be hip hop.

    For real? I listen to some irregular stuff, but I definitely listen to more gangster radio hip-hop than anything else.
