What's the word? orI need a control surface for my dub and other live mixing. Can't do the click drag on the faders anymore and it's beyond time to trade in the old 001. Forcing me to stay in 6.4. Whatever, I need that shit.I'm not trying to go to the Banjo Center or anything. Anybody know a shop that's worth supporting? BTW the exchange from the 001 to 003 factory is only $1595. That's better than $2500, not bad.

are you stuck on using pro-tools? If not I would explore other non-digi products.

Personally, I would grab a rackmount MOTU I/O and a Mackie Control Universal.

If you're going to use ProTools, need an 8 in/out interface, and the control surface, it's an unbeatable combo. If you only need some of those features, you can rig up a system that might suit your needs better. The Mackie Onyx rackmount has great mic preamps and converters, MUCH better than MOTU stuff. Heard great things about RME as well.
