The next edition of the Happy Jazz show is now up and WHAT A SHOW!!! This month we focus heavily on the sounds of Cuba courtesy of the fantastic compilation from Canada's very own Dan Zacks of www.WAXINGDEEP.ORG. Dan has very kindly supplied us with a copy of his CD entitled Si, Para Usted : The Funky Beats of Revolutionary Cuba Vol.1 - A 17 track thoroughbred of great music available direct from his site for $19. Anyway, enough of the sales pitch, check out the tracks from such diverse styles as Son, Guaguanco, Mambo and Descarga and from such greats as Celiz Cruz and Beny More in our special first hour. We also pay a tribute to the late great Cuban trumpeter Rolando Aguilo who sadly passed away on the 9th of March. We send our condolences to his family and friends but promise that his music will live on.
