American Gypsy Angel Eyes appreciation

It's been a few years since I listened to it and I almost forgot how good this Dutch LP is. It's very charming the way that the vocal come in and overpower the music at times. I only remember hearing such overpowering vocals at the intro of some 70's soul tunes. "Inside Out", "Golden Ring", Lady Eleanor", "Stuck On You" rarely do I find albums with this many tracks that really get to me. And it's true that it was later released in the US with a diferent cover.

    Even that black-velvet-nude portrait that Grady bought for his daughter and son-in-law on Sanford & Son wasn't THAT ugly.

    As for me...don't have the entire album, but both sides of the "Angel Eyes"/"Inside Out" single I got are excellent.
