well, speaking from a sales point of view (i had to hawk these babies when I was working retail) - they aren't that bad. They are only like $200, and they work as a regular mixer as well. And that's basically what it is, a $200 Numark mixer - not the best thing in the world, but if you're on a budget, not a bad thing either.
The new ones have the added functionality of pitch shift for the iPod docks, which is kinda cool, but you still don't get the hands on interface that you get with ScratchLive or Final Scratch.
I will say this, the construction is pretty crap - all plastic.
