What does Boz Scaggs' self-titled LP on Atlantic sound like? Never heard it. It was recorded at the Muscle Shoals studios which caught my interest. Worth finding a copy?

Absolutely fantastic blue eyed soul. It is the only Boz record I actually file under "soul" in my collection, instead of "rock" where that other record of his is filed.

He does this song "I'll Be Long Gone" that just kills me. Whiskey-drunk, feelin the weight of the world type ish on that cut.

Check it out for yourself. I got all excited about hearing it again and just recorded it.

    It's working now. Thanx again.

  • Bluesy. If you are familiar with some of the session work Duane Allman was doing around the same time, you may like his work on here.

In a way it's like early Steve Miller, and everything afterwards is just sabadabada.

He does a nice cover of "Hercules" on another dollar-bin LP of his.
