Just gave it the first listen, and I must admit I'm not all that crazy about it. I like the Minnie-esque opener "Morning Child", but other than that, it seems a bit nondescript. Maybe a few more listens will do it more justice, but so far it hasn't really grabbed me. I know there's some 4 Hero fans on here. Feelin' it?

take another listen please....
so many good cuts on this one... some of the Dego ones don't grab me in the same way that the Marc Mac (grittier) ones do , but for me this album will be a contender for best of the year.. how did you hear it?
dood... its february.
On the system at home, so it's not a case of tinny laptop speaker doing it injustice. I know it sounds good, it just didn't reach out and grab me. Maybe I'm just not feeling that smooth sound so much these days. Judging from what people are saying, I need to revisit. I'll try to give the Marc Mac tracks extra attention too.
2 pages is still their best
hot nonsense.
no doubt.
compared to two pages the new LP is only average.
bite me dj lil puss...
little brother is on this shit, give me a break
and this is coming from someone who has bought almost every single thing they have put out
the album is weak
bummer
i guess 2 pages was an amazing fluke
i discovered them via the ardcore/jungle sides they did
it was cool to watch that progression from raw to soulfull yet refined
i would not say it was a fluke, the last album creating patterns was great, not on the same level as 2 pages but still great
same here, i have been into them since the early reinforced days
maybe thats it, the best part was the journey, but the destination sucks
Yeah - have seen both Marc Mac and Dego kill it before... especially at Plastic People in Shoreditch - that sound system!!!
New album is pretty average though - what the hell is with the Superwoman cover???? What's the point - they seem to be obsessed with paying tribute to Stepney / Evans / Mizell et al too
Got a pal how knows them pretty well - reckons they barely spend a minute in the studio together anymore - sounds like it too....
Pity. A waste of goosd talent in Luke Parkhouse & Jason Yarde.
Mind you - I can't think of anyone who would do this type of stuff better
to each their own, but this shit is nice.
Jody Watley?? c'mon that track is serious!
The older stuff lacked musical thickness. There ya go, I said it.
look inside w/ face
something in the way w/ bembe & kaidi
bed of roses w/ jody watley
those 3 tracks alone, makes it an essential purchase. My only complaint is the album replicates a lot of ground covered by "creative patterns'. This is the first time they haven't brought a new sound to an album.
Even hotter nonsense.
