network help (VPN, Hamachi, antivirus, etc.)

Anyone here a network guru? I just setup a VPN network for my business using Hamachi (http://www.hamachi.cc). It was pretty straightforward. I'm mainly concerned about security. The server sits behind a 2WIRE router/firewall. It's a basic one provided by my internet DSL provider SBC so I'm not sure about it's reliability in stopping hackers. Should I get some additional firewall software? What's the best anti-virus software out there for a server? What should I do to improve security?
