What's the verdict on Flora Purim?

I keep trying to like her stuff, but always feel like it got all the part of new age and prog that i don't like.any recommendations?

    yeah i like the rtf and i also like her on hermeto's slaves mass.

    i guess i should have specified her own output.

    i have "stories to tell" on right now and i have the two you posted above and "open your eyes you can fly" in the queue

    I pulled this one for 50 cents last month:



    I enjoy it. I do think her voice can get annoying after a while, but there's some excellent instrumental playing on this album.

    The early LPs on Cobblestone with Hermeto, Ron Carter and Sivuca are good IMO.
    "O Galho Da Roseira" is the jam.

    I've kept her solo LPs up to "Open Your Eyes", but I can only listen to her in doses. Her off-key singing can be a bit much in the long run.

    I don't have anything by her that i turn to with any urgency, but it's good here and there.

    I like Airto's Samba da Flora. Mainly because she isn't on it.
