CD player/burner components

I had a Philips dual deck CD player/burner on my stereo which worked great for 3 years. Recorded straight from the two turntables to the burner, and then could record from one deck to the other, just like a tape deck. Anyways, that shit just up and stopped working in the middle of playing a CD one day. Won't even turn on.Now I'm in the market for a new CD player/burner. The big places like Best Buy and Circuit City (where I got the Phillips one 3 years ago) just sell a Sony one, with a 5 CD changer and a 1 CD deck burner. I can't stand 5 CD changers though. That shit always breaks. I'm looking for a higher quality unit which is still just a dual deck. The dude at Circuit City told me the normal stores don't really carry these components since everyone just uses computers to burn CDs now. That's not gonna do for me though. Can anybody drop some knowledge for me?

not a dual deck but nice. Tascam or Marantz or HHB make the high end CD recorders...
