    I know a bunch of people who strike a balance between
    playing in bands or djing and making sure their family
    is happy and secure.

    I think the guys just a weenie and can't mix so he's selling it all. If it's all "new" it probably means he bought it all and expected to become a superstar dj overnight. Notice he's not selling any vinyl as well.
