IMG src=http://popsike.com/pix/20050628/4742762558.jpg>got this today...my friend bought it for me at goodwill ($1.38)checked popsike, saw it anywhere from $60-120pretty interesting des moines jazz/funk/whatever release from 1978. cant remember who showed me a picture of this a while back, i know somebody was interested in hearing it...anyway im recording it right now if anybodys dying to hear it....haha

Dartanyan - Influences (1978)
I've seen this record go for well over $100 on multiple occasions. I still cannot figure out why. Having spent very little on it, I can appreciate the few good moments it has, but I'm baffled that anyone would pay more than $10 for it. Obscurity has never been a driving force in my need to own a record. The vocal arrangement on the opening track is definitely the strongest moment, but at around 3:45 it makes for a straining music-to-cost ratio. The homemade typography on the cover may be enticing, but wait till it shows up in your dollar bin.
