The term 'Hoodie'???

just heard this[/b] on NPR.The Oxford English Dictionary is looking for earlier references to the term "hoodie". They have it referenced as 1990, but i would be shocked if there weren't earlier references to it (in song at least).any y'all folks know of earlier references. drop a gem on these English blokes.

    The thing with this is, the popular UK definition has come to refer not to the garment, but the kid wearing it, so it's effectively an extension of the word "hood". I hate the term as it's currently used over here to be honest, but I just thought I'd clarify what it is they're actually on about over at the OED.
