Help identifying an album

I bought this soul/funk record a year ago in Japan and I haven't been able to find out anything about it online. I feel like I have heard some samples used in Hip Hop songs on it, but I can't really put my finger on anything. Artist: The AlbertTitle: The Albert (I assume this is self titled release since it doesn't have a specific album printed anywhere)Tracklisting:1. Pity the Child2. Things Ain't Easy3. Cold 'N' Hard4.
