This is a song from a popular hip-hop album of the late 90's. I edited out everything except the moments when the guys rapping take breaths in between words. The idea of the breath in hip-hop is something that, in most cases, does not transcend past the emceee; breath control is a crucial element of rapping. Even in the case of many rappers breath control is not considered because they utilize the 'punch-in' technique, instead of rapping a verse straight through. By highlighting the moments when rappers breathe, I make breathing apparent to those who do not rap. And, by editing out everyhting except the breaths I leave little to identify the track by, but there is enough there.breathe.
