The star--real name Calvin Broadus--was released from police custody yesterday after marijuana, cocaine and a firearm were allegedly found in a false compartment in his car. Snoop had been taping a guest spot on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday when he was stopped by Burbank police as he left the building. Officers were waiting with warrants to search him, his vehicle and his home in Diamond Bar, California. The warrants stem from his arrest last month at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, where he was arrested on weapons and drugs charges. And a police spokesman confirms cops believe the multi-millionaire is still a Crips member. Sergeant Kevin Grandalski, says, "Information developed during this investigation confirmed that Mr. Broadus is both a convicted felon and an admitted 'Rollin' 20s Crips' criminal street gang member who continues to associate with other Crips criminal street gang members. "Mr. Broadus was arrested again for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and for transportation of marijuana. "In addition he was arrested for possession of a false compartment in his vehicle and for possession of cocaine." Snoop posted $60,000 bail yesterday morning and had no comment as he walked out of the Burbank Police Department. The rapper will face charges for Tuesday's arrest in January. He will also appear in court next month for his arrest at the Burbank airport in October. Knight: 'Snoop Is an Informer' Rapper Snoop Dogg has been branded a police informer by his former record label boss Marion 'Suge' Knight. The hip-hop star, who was arrested for the third time in as many months on Tuesday after police found weapons and narcotics in his vehicle, has so far escaped a jail sentence, despite charges of violent affray and possession of a deadly weapon being leveled on him in the past--as well as a civil rape case. In the latest edition of Rolling Stone magazine, Snoop Dogg, who played a police informer in 2004 movie Starsky & Hutch, also confesses he's considered killing Death Row Records founder Knight. But the music mogul fears the admission, as well as his recent arrest, will go unpunished by police. He tells PageSix.com, "Snoop is a rat. He's a police informer. This is the only guy who never goes to jail no matter what. I don't like rats. "Snoop has never been in a real fight. When there's trouble, he runs to the police. He throws up and starts crying." Knight's feud with Snoop Dogg began when the rapper left his label for Master P's No Limit Records in 1996. Article Copyright World Entertainment News Network All Rights Reserved.
