    MOST POPULAR JAPANESE DISH EVER

    INGREDIENTS

    1. 200g thin sliced beef
    2. 1 small onion
    3. 2 medium size potatoes
    4. 1 2/3 cup of water
    5. 2 tbsp of cooking sake
    6. 3.5 tbsps sugar
    7. 2/3 tbsp of mirin
    8. 2 + 1.5 tbsps soy sauce

    Step 1:POTATO
    Peel and cut, the soak in water for a while.


    Step 2:BEEF

    Cut into appropriate size.

    Step 3:ONON
    Cut into half and slice.


    Step 4:SAUTE1
    Saute beef in a pan with vegetable oil untill it comes light brown.


    Step 5:SAUTE2
    Add potatoes and onion and continue for a couple of minutes.


    Step 6:BROTH
    Add water and boil, then add sake, sugar, mirin and 2 tbsps of soy sauce. Cover the surface with alminum foil and lid and cook with lowered heat untill potatoes become soft.


    Step 7:LAST 2 MINUTES
    Add 1.5 tbsps of soy sauce and cook for a couple of minutes.


    Step 8:SERVE
    Usually served as a side dish with steamed rice.
