JK is badass, he is the coolest guy i have ever met.here is a letter he just wrote me, i had to share...I've always known the music industry was sleazy, but I've always been intrigued by the randomness of whom they reward. For example, Issac Hayes wrote producedplayed on and starred in heaps of stuff yet went broke. Booker T plays keys on one Bill Withers album and gets a house on Maui. Bobby Womack can live comfortably to this day on the royalties from penning the Stones song, "Let's spend the night together", yet Kevin Dubrie from Quiet Riot lives hand to mouth on the Indian Casino/fantasy rock camp circuit. I know, I know, Quiet Riot sucks. But they sold millions and millions of albums.My friend Brian J sums it up as so: Man, when you're out on the road, you'd be surprised how quickly thosedeli sandwiches and Sammy Smith bombers eat away at that advance. And then you're fucked.
