What do you do for bar/club promotional events?

Ive been offered a pretty nice gig with a lot of advertising money being spent to promote and host it. The owner wants me to come up with a game plan to use as a concept/theme for 4 nights a week. I have a few ideas on different events to use as promotions, such as trivia night, blues night, lottery night, wet t shirt etc... Now this place is like a chill jazzy lounge type club so i dont want to get to trashy, but what are some things that you guys have run or have been too and was like "damn that was some hot shit, I never seen a midget tossed that far". Some shit that would keep people coming back. Any ideas, concepts, anecdotes? And the goal is to bring women in at any means.

    damn. My friend just told me about a tattoo contest that this bar hosts and it gets mad people out. Any ideas?

    does your town have a gay bar? if not hosting a gay night might be a really good idea...i just started one and it's taking off.
