    That's my man!

    Replaced me as manager of a local used record
    store when I quit, guested on my radio show, and
    the only guy taking advantage of the awesome 45 deals
    at my vinyl yard sales.

    Most frequently seen poring over the dime sleeveless
    45's at IYE on Boston, Eli is a great guy, with impeccable
    taste as well as unquestionable talent...and loads of it.

    He's got a cute girlfriend, too

    Eli's a good friend of mine. Haven't seen him in two years, but we still hit each other up via the e-mail/phone.

    In the winter of 1993-94, he was briefly attending the University of Chicago and we used to hang out, hitting used record shops, jamming on old R&B tunes in university practice rooms, going to see the Howard Tate/Betty LaVette show at the Schubert Theatre (and getting to meet them backstage!), getting full up on Harold's Fried Chicken. Played an informal show with him once at a coffeehouse/restaurant. Even tried to sneak him into a blues club but the doorman wasn't having it (he was still underage - he wouldn't be 21 for another few months). Cool people - I'm really happy to see his music career (and female situation!) working out for him...
