    Needless to say, given my proclivities to generating animatied gifs, I'm totally obsessed with these things. The mirrored carousel is a variation on the praxinoscope, an improved form of the zoetrope. I'm not lucky enough to own one of the red raven models but I have been trying to build one of these out of acrylic. I think it would go great on top of one of those DJ Swamp endless breakbeat lock groove records, or pretty much anything 90 BPM pressed at 45 RPM.

    I have been taking scans of the records and generating gif forms, here's Tootie the Tug:
